Professor Colleen Cartwright is Emeritus Professor and Chair of the Human Research Ethics Committee of Southern Cross University. She has extensive teaching and research experience in ageing, ethics and medical decisions at the end of life, at national and international levels, with publications in major journals and several book chapters. She regularly runs information and training sessions for aged and community care staff and health/allied health professionals on end of life care, including advance care planning, informed consent and capacity, use of telehealth, with particular focus on the
Speaker: Associate Professor Peter Gonski
Topic: Geriatric assessment, including musculoskeletal assessment
Associate Professor Peter Gonski has 30 years’ experience in the care of elderly patients. He is a senior staff geriatrician in South Eastern Sydney Local Health District. His passion is the holistic management of older people and he has been very involved in the development of models of care so that patients are treated with the right treatment, in the right place, at the right time. He is the clinical stream director for aged care and rehabilitation for the Local Health District and Conjoint Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine, UNSW.
