Our Women’s Health Clinical Advisory Group brings together osteopaths with significant experience in areas such as antenatal and postnatal care, pelvic health and beyond. They guide the development of high-quality, clinically relevant resources and continuing professional development to help practitioners provide confident and compassionate care in women’s health.
Together, they help shape an osteopathic profession that’s responsive, evidence-informed and whole-of-body focused.
Bio to follow
Daniela became a qualified and registered Osteopath in 2003 after graduating from RMIT university. She immediately gravitated towards pregnant women and worked extensively to further her knowledge and skill set. With now 22 years of experience Daniela works confidently in the assessment and management of many complaints associated with pregnancy including pubic symphysis dysfunction, pelvic pain and lower back pain. In 2009 she founded Bulleen Osteopathy and surrounds herself with compassionate and exceptional Osteopaths, passionately supporting women in all stages of lie.
Daniela was featured in the 2019 Australian Osteopathic Awareness campaign for osteopathic treatment during pregnancy. Along with associate Dr Ash Bolton, their research article “An Introduction to osteopathic treatment in pregnancy” was published in the Osteopathy Australia Publication in 2021. She also has written an online course for Osteopathic treatment in pregnancy and post-partum titled “Bump into osteo”. She has also been a guest lecturer at RMIT University.
Along with Dr Ash Bolton, Daniela is a co-founder of continuall. They have designed and created compression garments to be worn in pregnancy and post-partum.
Lorrae Griffiths is an experienced osteopath graduating in 2005 with a Bachelor of Clinical Science and Master of Health Science (Osteopathy). She has a clinical focus on women’s and pelvic health, pregnancy and post-partum care. Lorrae has extensive experience managing complex pelvic pain and musculoskeletal conditions affecting women across the lifespan and has played a key role in establishing and developing osteopathic women's health services within private practice.
Lorrae has undertaken additional training in paediatrics, visceral osteopathy, chil-birth education and pelvic health assessment and management, including internal pelvic floor treatment. She has also completed further training in scar therapy and management, including supporting recovery and function for individuals with surgical scars such as those following breast cancer treatment. Her work focuses on integrating osteopathic care within multidisciplinary teams to support patients experiencing pelvic pain, pelvic floor dysfunction, menopause, pregnancy-related conditions and post-partum recovery.
Beyond clinical practice, Lorrae contributes to professional education, mentoring osteopaths and supervising students. She is also involved in public and professional discussions on pelvic health through podcast appearances and educational initiatives.
Lorrae is passionate about advancing awareness, education and evidence-informed care in women’s health, and supporting the osteopathic profession to play a stronger role in multidisciplinary pelvic health care.
Melissa Arnts is a passionate, progressive and down-to-earth osteopath who has been practising for over 12 years, primarily in Melbourne’s south-east at Seaview Health Group. She graduated from Victoria University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Osteopathy, and has continually pursued professional development to enhance her clinical expertise. Melissa has a dedicated focus in women’s health, including pregnancy, post-natal recovery, and pelvic health. In 2019, she completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Women’s Health through University of New South Wales, followed by advanced clinical training through the Osteopathic Pelvic Health Institute in internal pelvic floor assessment and treatment, prolapse management, and pregnancy and birth preparation. She also supports women recovering from breast cancer treatment, addressing scar management and associated musculoskeletal challenges. In 2021, Melissa joined Osteopathy Australia’s Clinical Advisory Group, contributing to the national development and progression of osteopathy in women’s health.
