How do I renew my membership?

Membership and access to benefits end on 30 June each year.
If you manage your renewal manually:

You’ll get an email and SMS on 1 May when your renewal invoice is ready.

Want to switch to AutoPay? (Automatic renewal)

During your online renewal, you can choose to opt in to AutoPay for future renewals – it's set and forget.

If you're opted in to AutoPay (automatic renewal):

You'll receive an email and SMS reminder on 15 June before your payment is processed on 2 July.

  • Annual payment: Your invoice will be available on your profile on 1 May
  • Instalment payments: Your invoice will be available on your profile on 10 June
  • Want to renew early? Go to My invoices on your profile to view and pay your renewal
    • Note: You will still be opted in to AutoPay for future renewal payments but will be excluded form the 2 July payment run
  • To opt out of AutoPay:
    • Go to My invoices → Manage Automatic Renewal
    • Select → Add a payment method or change payment method used
    • Change Status to Cancelled and save your changes
    • Contact [email protected] to update your instalment status to annual, and have your invoice changed to one annual payment
Need to change your membership category?
  • Change category from today
    • Click the Category Change Request button under My membership on your profile to request your membership upgrade or downgrade
    • Your 2026/27 renewal invoice will also be updated to your new category
  • Change category for the next membership cycle starting 1 July - members renewing manually
    •  Log in to My Profile and use the Renew Now button
    • Click the Pay Now link for category and payment options on the next window
    • Choose your preferred membership category and payment option, and update your cart
    • Note: Early Career categories → only payment options will display as your membership will have rolled over to the next eligible category
  • Change category for the next membership cycle starting 1 July - members on AutoPay

To change to Non-Practising, Retired or International, or Part-Time (if you are currently hold a Full, Academic, Early Career Year 4 or 5 membership), please contact [email protected]

What are my 2026/27 renewal fees?

I'm on AutoPay - how do I update my payment details?

If your invoice is open
  • Before your annual or instalment payment is due, your invoice will appear in My invoices on your profile.
  • While your invoice is open (before your payment is processed on 2 July), you can switch your payment method between credit card and direct debit.
  • To save the new details for future automatic payments, you’ll need to pay the invoice manually at the time.
  • To do this:
    • Go to the Cart by selecting by selecting Renew Now in My Profile or Update Cart in My invoices.
    • Navigate through to the Cart and in Payment details, choose Credit Card or Direct Debit from the drop-down, enter your details, and click Submit Order.
  • Your invoice will be paid straight away, you won’t be charged again on the due date
  • Your new payment details will be saved for future automatic payments.
If your invoice is already paid
  • You can add a new credit card for future invoices via My invoices → Manage automatic renewal → Add a payment method.

Can I switch my membership category?

Check that your current membership type is the right one for you.

If your circumstances have changed, you can opt to transfer to another membership category during a current membership cycle, depending on your situation.

Use the Category Change Request button under My membership on your profile to contact us directly to upgrade or downgrade your membership category for the current membership cycle.

To update your category for the new membership cycle starting on 1 July:

Manual renewal members

  • Select the Renew Now button in My Profile
  • Click the Pay Now link for category and payment options
  • Choose your preferred membership category and payment option
  • Click Update Cart (or click View Cart if no changes are needed)

AutoPay renewal members

  • Before the 2 July processing date, please submit your request using the the Category Change Request form in My membership.
To change to:
  • Non-Practising, Retired or International, or
  • Part-Time (if you are currently a Full, Early Career Year 4 or Early Career Year 5 member)

please use the the Category Change Request form.

Conditions for switching membership category
  • When transferring to a membership category of a higher fee, by proceeding, you are declaring you agree to the conditions of your new membership type, along with a pro-rata payment.
  • When transferring to a membership category of a lesser fee, by proceeding, you are declaring you agree to the conditions of your new membership type to grant any pro-rata credit due.
  • A pro-rata membership credit is calculated by calendar month only, based on the date your online declaration is completed.
  • Some membership category changes require evidence of your Professional Indemnity Insurance status in Australia and if requested, must be uploaded online or you agree to authorise Osteopathy Australia to contact your insurer directly, to confirm your personal Professional Indemnity Insurance status.
  • Any membership credit due can be used against a future membership or other invoice; credits expire by 31 July of the current cycle if membership is not renewed.
  • Membership credits will not be issued retrospectively.
  • Should a membership lapse, any membership credit will expire immediately after the renewal period has ended (31 July).
  • Osteopathy Australia membership can be cancelled during a membership cycle, however, no refunds are provided.

Can I pay my membership by instalment?

As a renewing member, you can opt to pay your annual renewal in three scheduled instalments instead (every four months).

By choosing the instalment option:
  • You agree to pay your full 12 month membership fee across three automatic payments
  • Instalment payments are by AutoPay only
  • A $25 annual admin fee applies and is divided evenly across payments

  • To review your invoice or pay early, please go to My invoices on your profile
  • Paying early before 2 July, excludes you from the first AutoPay run but, does not cancel your AutoPay enrolment.
  • If you pay your annual renewal manually and change to pay by instalment instead, you will be requested to opt in to AutoPay prior to 2 July, the first payment due date
  • Annual paying members already on AutoPay, wanting to change to instalments instead, please contact [email protected] prior to 2 July
Please note:
  • All electronic payments through the Stripe payment gateway are compliant with taxation standards and PCI DSS. Please rest assured that your sensitive member data is being handled at the highest level of data security and within the law.
  • Your payments will be processed using the payment details saved on your profile.
  • To update your payment details, please go to My Invoices on your profile.
  • A courtesy email reminder is sent out on the 15th of the month prior to your next payment due date.
  • For each instalment, if your payment is not successful, two further attempts will be made to process your payment due.
  • Thereafter, your login will de-activate and your membership cancelled if your account remains in arrears after 30 days.
  • To cancel an invoice (and your membership), please advise Osteopathy Australia in writing 14 days prior to the next payment due date.

How do I enter the Early Bird Renewal Draw?

Members paying online manually

Pay by 15 June to receive one entry into the Early Bird renewal draw.

Members opted in to AutoPay your renewal

Your successful AutoPay renewal on 2 July automatically gives you an entry into the Early Bird renewal draw. 

When does the membership year start and end?

 
Membership period

Your membership runs for a 12-month cycle from 1 July to 30 June.

Access to benefits

Your access to member benefits continues until 30 June each year.

Re-joining after lapse

If your membership lapses, a $165 re-join fee applies from 1 August.

Can I cancel my membership?

  • Osteopathy Australia membership can be cancelled during a membership cycle, however, no refunds are provided
  • To cancel your membership during a cycle or for more information about your membership, please contact us on 1800 467 836 or email your request to [email protected]
  • If you are paying by instalment, and wish to cancel your next invoice (and your membership), please advise Osteopathy Australia in writing 14 days prior to the next payment due date

How can I advertise as a member?

As an Osteopathy Australia member, you can promote your job vacancies, locum work, rooms for rent, equipment for sale, CPD courses and events - all at member rates, with classified and job ads free to post once approved.

  • Website banners
  • Osteo Life magazine

All advertising with Osteopathy Australia is subject to approval before publishing.

To place an ad:
  • Visit our Advertising page for information on the different options available
  • Go to My Classifieds or My Job Vacancies on your member profile to post your free ads
