Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity is the general term for protecting IT systems from hacking and other forms of malicious activity. Such activity is generally intended to steal money, personal and identity data, and company information for criminal purposes.

In this module, you will learn:

• What is phishing and what are the key methods of phishing?

• Why you should care about phishing?

• How to recognise phishing attacks from different sources?

• Practical steps to reduce the risks of successful phishing.

Peter Tzanis BA, B.Ed, MAITD

Peter has worked for 15 years at all levels of the education industry as a teacher, department head and consultant. Peter studied secondary education at the University of New South Wales and is experienced in the delivery of training and assessment of competence in a workplace context. Peter has also worked on several system and training implementation projects with a diverse range of clients including the Department of Defence, University of New England, and Coles. Peter is the primary contact at Osteopathy Australia for CPD and is the project and lead instructional designer for the recently launched eLearning and mentoring educational platforms.
