The presenters:
Richmond Heath is a physiotherapist, TRE certification trainer and world-leader in the trauma-informed use of TRE & neurogenic movement. His personal experience of high-functioning anxiety led him on a 10 year journey into somatic healing that resulted in him developing a trauma-informed model of the body and movement that bridges the historical divide between mental and physical health.
With extensive experience presenting at national and international conferences, he has personally taught neurogenic movement to more than 6,000 people including survivors of the Black Saturday Bushfires, the Christchurch earthquake in New Zealand, and people living in war-torn Ukraine. During Covid 19, he created the world’s first online TRE course that has more than 14,000 enrolments to date.
Dr Denise Cornall (Osteopath) and physiotherapist with extensive clinical and professional teaching experience. Through her clinical and life experiences, she has a special interest in the fields of paediatrics and trauma recovery. She strongly advocates for the biopsychosocial model where creating wellness rests upon the inter-relationship between body and mind and each person’s unique circumstances. She completed a doctorate study that explored osteopathy for babies with breastfeeding difficulties and played a key role in the coordination, and teaching of a post-graduate university course in neonatal and infant paediatric manual therapy.
Working with the Kinglake community in the bush fire recovery period lead to a growing interest in strategies to support trauma recovery. She is a global certified provider of TRE, Trauma Releasing Exercises; to assist in the release of more deeply held protective body postures and tensions.
