Part-time Indirect/Direct Osteopath

Subcontractor osteopath position available at established mentoring clinic where the principal osteopath still works full-time! We are looking for an enthusiastic osteopath for our busy, established clinic in Melbourne's southeast. We had our female osteopath reduce their travel from across the bay, so an existing patient base is available to take on. Part-time role with scope for expansion.

Dr Ben Robins began working as the lone osteopath in Cranbourne 2007 and established Central Osteopathy in 2010. We have grown with the region over these 15 years to now having 4 osteopaths with a combined experience of over 20 years and a good relationship with the large number of local GP’s. We also expanded into a newly restored four treatment room heritage building on a half-acre block in December 2018, which has created a great space for both patients and staff. Our treatment rooms are very spacious and we currently have one you can call your own.

We treat with a combination of direct and indirect techniques, so a good structural base with an interest in BLT / cranial is preferred. We see osteopathy as a learning journey and encourage our osteopaths to play to their strengths and develop their own style. We run two fortnightly tutorials where our osteos are encouraged to bring forward any cases and Ben also discusses a region or system of the body, touching on both direct and indirect approaches. Ben is greatly influenced by the early osteopathic concepts developed by the likes of Still, Sutherland and Becker, and has learned much from six USA-based courses and many more here. Tutorial notes and reading references are provided. If you have an interest in Paediatrics, we see a lot of infants and children, the number of which are rapidly increasing with the number of babies born in the Casey region during COVID! Our osteopaths have an open-door policy for any questions and we provide full reception.
