2025 annual wage review announced

Stop press: Annual wage review decision announced

The Fair Work Commission (FWC) has announced its annual wage review decision for the upcoming 2025/2026 financial year. The Commission has made the decision to increase the National Minimum Wage (NMW) by 3.5%, and minimum rates of pay in modern awards by 3.5%. The increase to the NMW and the minimum rates in modern awards that apply to the osteopathy industry – including the Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2020 – will apply from the first full pay period commencing on or after 1 July 2025.

To summarise, the annual wage review decision will impact osteopathy practices as follows:

  • The weekly rates of pay in the Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2020 will increase by 3.5% from the first full pay period commencing on or after 1 July 2025.
  • For award/agreement-free employees, the NMW will increase from $915.90 per week ($24.10 per hour) to $948.00 per week ($24.95 per hour).
  • If your employees are covered by another award/agreement, or you are unsure if they are award/agreement-free, please contact the Osteopathy Australia HR Service for advice.

What happens now?

The Osteopathy Australia HR Service will update the award wage guide to reflect the increase. The updated guide will be available by 1 July 2025. For more information, call 1300 143 602 or email hrhotline@osteopathy.org.au.
