Contribute to the future of osteopathy

Osteopathy Australia has established the Osteopathy Australia Research Foundation to fund high quality research into osteopathy.

High quality osteopathy research will:

  • Strengthen the role of osteopathy in primary healthcare

  • Support lobbying and advocacy

  • Form the basis for clinical guideline development

  • Inform CPD development in osteopathy

  • Inform how we promote osteopathy to the public

What your donation will be used for

Research funds will be allocated to support independent research projects which align with Osteopathy Australia’s research priorities. Funds are disbursed through a competitive application process.

Examples of funded projects include:

  • The association between primitive reflexes, motor function and executive function in preschool children (UTS)

  • Osteopaths’ Therapeutic Approaches Questionnaire (Osteo-TAQ): A cross-sectional study of Australian Osteopaths (Uni Melbourne, University College of Osteopathy)

  • Osteopathic management of non-specific neck pain: a case series (Victoria University)
