The NDIS Provider and Worker Registration Taskforce convened a roundtable discussion focusing on enhancing choice and control within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Taskforce members, including Vicki O'Halloran, Michael Bororwick, and Natalie Wade, deliberated on developing a registration and enrolment model that prioritises the rights of individuals with disabilities. Special attention was given to addressing challenges in rural, remote, and regional areas, with a community focus on incentivising providers to serve these communities. The taskforce aims to deliver its recommendations by mid-year. While the format and distribution of the report are yet to be confirmed, its focus remains on emphasising the importance of advocating for choice and control within the NDIS framework.
