Report: Site visit with the Hon Michael Sukkar, MP
On 29 July 2024, Matt Cooper (President of Osteopathy Australia), Sarah Smith (Senior Director at Beyond Osteopathy), and Stephanie Santos (Policy and Advocacy Manager) met with the Hon Michael Sukkar, MP, and Maddie Collins (Media & Policy Adviser). As well as showcasing the work of osteopaths, the team highlighted the impact of osteopathy on National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants and discussed Osteopathy Australia’s advocacy for better health outcomes.
Concerns were raised about the delayed assessment of our NDIS Commission recognition application, pending since March 2023. Michael Sukkar is committed to assisting with this matter. Stay tuned for updates!
