Submission: NRAS complexity review

We made a submission to phase three of the open consultation on the Independent review of complexity in the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme. Our submission highlighted several areas for improvement and collaboration.

Independent review of complexity in the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme

The association provided feedback to the open consultation on the Independent review of complexity in the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme. The consultation process is a phased approach. Our response to the open consultation is a part of phase three of the review of the National Scheme. The final report will be handed to the Minister in April 2025, with further opportunities for consultation later in 2024.

Our feedback

The feedback we provided answered relevant questions only in the submission template. Some of our suggested areas for improvement included:

  • The release of more frequent, annual data to inform workforce planning solutions
  • Releasing student forecast data, including who is forecast to graduate from what profession and when
  • Cross-professional transparent standards
  • Parental fee arrangement relief
  • Reference and inclusion of the National Allied Health Workforce Strategy
  • Suggested collaborative modes of consultation
  • Fair and equitable expenditure of practitioner fees
