Conference 2024 FAQs

• Where and when is the conference being held?

  The conference is being held at the Sydney Central Hotel, located at 169/179 Thomas Street, Haymarket, Sydney. Inclusive of morning registrations, it will run from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Friday, 25 October and 8:30 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday, 26 October. There will also be a Welcome Reception held at the venue from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, 25 October. Times are subject to change without notice.

• If I attend the conference and also want to stay at the Sydney Central Hotel, are there discounted accommodation rates for delegates?

  Yes, a discount rate applies. You will need to call or email the Sydney Central Hotel and quote the code OSTEOOCT23 and this will get you 10% off the best available rate. Subject to room availability. The code cannot be used through the Hotel's online reservation page. The reservations email for the Hotel is reservations.sch@the-ascott.com

  Note: The number 23 in the code is not a typo.

  The discounted rate at the Hotel for parking is $30 for day use and $45 for overnight. After you have parked, you will need to go to the Hotel reception and make them aware that you are attending the conference and you will get your parking ticket validated.

• What are the different ticketing prices being offered?

  Tickets sales are now closed.

• After tickets are purchased online, how are they sent/collected by the purchaser?

  Once purchased, we will email a receipt to you. Your name is then automatically added to our registration list, so you don't need to download or store a digital ticket. If you want to transfer your ticket, please refer to our FAQ on transferable tickets.

• Is a tax invoice provided for tickets purchased?

  Yes. This will be emailed to you post purchase. 

• How far out from the start of the conference on 25 October 2024 can purchasers receive a full refund if they need to cancel their tickets?

  Registrations cancelled by 25 August 2024 will be eligible for a full refund less any administration fee of 10% registration cost per registered registrant. Cancellations received within 60 days of the event will not be eligible for any refund, however, another person may participate in the event as tickets are transferable. All cancellations must be advised via email to info@osteopathy.org.au. The Association reserves the right to determine if any refund requests outside of the notice period will be honoured. 

• What payment methods are accepted for the purchase of conference tickets?

  Payments can be made directly on our online facility using credit or debit card. Alternatively, we accept EFT payments. 

  Please use the reference CONF24 when submitting an EFT payment and then email info@osteopathy.org.au your details including your name, amount paid and your bank’s reference. Upon receipt of payment, we will then allocate a ticket to you.

• Are purchased tickets transferable if I cannot attend the conference?

  Yes. However, CPD hours will be recorded against the name of the person registering in person at our registration desk on 25 and 26 October.

• How do I find out who the speakers at the conference are?

  All speakers will be published at a later date when the conference program is released. 

• What parking arrangements are available at the venue?

  The Sydney Central Hotel has a car park, which is located at 169-179 Thomas Street Haymarket. Please visit wilsonparking.com.au. There is also parking at First Parking Darling Square, entry via Zollner Circuit. This is around a 15 minute walk from the Sydney Central Hotel. Please visit www.firstparking.com.au

• What is the nearest train station to the Sydney Central Hotel?

  Central Station is the nearest train station which is within a five minute walk to the Hotel.

• What does the conference ticket entitle me to?

  Across the two days, you will have full access to the conference as well as the workshops of your choice. Additionally, light refreshments, tea/coffee, lunches and a Welcome Reception are all inclusive of the ticket price. 

• Are CPD hours being recognised by attending the conference?

  Yes. A total of 12 CPD hours will be recognised for attendance across the two days. A certificate of attendance reflecting this, will be emailed to attendees.
