About this Course
The Effective Communication module came about following a string of patient comments aimed at Jena, being a small, female osteopath. The expectation that a small or female practitioner is incapable of providing an effective treatment outcome is outdated and needs to be addressed. With the number of female osteopaths on the rise, it is an important message to convey to the public.
This short module aims to make sure bias, stereotypes and culture don't negatively affect treatments and you learn how to communicate in difficult situations.
The following module is only a small component of the "Effective Communication" topic area. Further modules will be developed in the future.
