Recognising the need for professional development and mastery in the application and use of Joint Manipulation Techniques, GEMt has developed a series of courses (for appropriately qualified health practitioners) to use Joint Manipulation (HVLA Thrust) Techniques in the context of best-care and evidence-informed practice.

GEMt’s Joint Mobilisation and Manipulation Courses place a substantial emphasis regarding safety concerns, precautions, and contraindications to Joint Mobilisation and Manipulation Techniques and their application into clinical practice.

With small group sizes and the aid of experienced personalised “hand-on” mentoring and coaching; course participants will be to safely, effectively, and efficiently perform Joint Mobilisation and Manipulation Techniques taught in the course immediately in practice Monday morning. GEMt will equip all course participants with the knowledge and resources to adopt a well-rounded approach to understanding, selecting, and performing Joint Mobilisation and Manipulation Techniques for musculoskeletal and sporting injuries.

NB. Participants will be assessed for competency throughout the course, including theorical information comprehension (using multiple choice questionnaires) and practical examination; ensuring technique mastery.

Learning objectives:

At the completion of GEMt’s Joint Mobilisation and Manipulation Course(s), participants will be able to:

1. Recognise, comprehend, and implement the current best practice evidence for the application of Joint Mobilisation and Manipulation Techniques.

2. Attain comprehensive knowledge regarding the safety concerns, precautions, and contraindications to Joint Mobilisation and Manipulation Techniques and apply them into clinical practice.

3. Be able to safely, effectively, and efficiently apply Joint Mobilisation and Manipulation Techniques taught in the course(s) immediately into clinical practice.

4. Establish a well-rounded approach to understanding, selecting, and performing Joint Mobilisation and Manipulation Techniques for musculoskeletal and sporting injuries.
