Recognising and responding to domestic violence

Clinicians are increasingly coming across patients impacted by domestic violence in their clinics. This webinar will provide important information on how to support and refer patients.

Carolyn is the founder and managing director of Beyond DV, a Brisbane based charity whose mission is to empower and support women and children as they rebuild their lives after domestic and family violence. Beyond DV actively encourages collaboration between organisations to raise awareness around the issue of domestic and family violence and provides the most effective support for domestic and family violence survivors.

A teacher by profession, Carolyn's life changed dramatically in 2017 when her youngest daughter was impacted by family and domestic violence and as a family, they decided they wanted to do something about it, thus setting up Beyond DV in October 2017, before launching in January 2018.
