Delegates at the Osteopathy Conference will have the chance to see and hear Selwyn Griffith, performance manager at the Melbourne Demons for this unique, one off workshop where modern approaches to strength and conditioning will be on display.

Workshop learning objectives:

  1. Performance profiling for injury risk assessment
  2. Injury mitigation strategies for high risk athletes
  3. Strength and reconditioning prescription and the influence of objective data
  4. Return to performance strategies

Workshop presenter:

Selwyn Griffith is the current performance manager at the Melbourne Demons Football Club. He holds master's degrees in osteopathy and high performance sport and is an accredited high performance manager with Exercise Sports Science Australia (ESSA) and is a Level 3 strength and conditioning coach with the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA). Selwyn has a keen interest in strength and power assessment and prescription and is constantly evaluating best practices and protocols to accelerate rehabilitation and injury management strategies with athletes.
