The truth remains osteopathy is barely known and an option in large parts of Australia.

What is the problem? Is the profession or clinics owners failing to understand what is required to attract osteopaths to all parts of the country, or are young osteopaths increasingly not wanting to get out of their comfort zones?

About Ann, Virginia & Peter:

Ann has relocated from rural Victoria to provide osteopathic care to the Townsville community. She graduated from RMIT University in 2017, with a Bachelor of Health Science and Bachelor of Applied Sciences (Osteopathy). Ann believes that education plays an integrative part in the recovery process, as well as reaching health and functional goals. 

Virginia has been running a clinic in Singapore for 19 years with osteopaths from Australia and New Zealand and one Osteopath/naturopath from the UK and is ideally placed to look at this issue from all sides. Peter has worked for over a decade at all levels of the education industry as a teacher, department head and consultant. Peter studied secondary education at the University of New South Wales and is experienced in the delivery of training and assessment of competence in a workplace context. Peter has also worked on several system and training implementation projects with a diverse range of clients including the Department of Defence, University of New England, and Coles. Peter is the primary contact at Osteopathy Australia for CPD and is the project manager and lead instructional designer for the recently launched eLearning and mentoring educational platforms.
