Tailored specifically for people residing in Victoria, this webinar examines the clinical learnings from early intervention trials for WorkSafe and TAC compensable patients. The presentation will outline key learnings such as:

  1. What have previous early intervention programs achieved for compensable patients?
  2. How can we, as osteopaths, apply these learnings in our own practice?
  3. Why do compensable patients have worse outcomes compared to non compensable patients?
  4. Why is our role so important and influential in getting the best outcomes for these patients?
  5. What can we do to ensure that our own experience as a clinician treating a compensable patient is as smooth as possible?
  6. What can we do to get the best out of the system for our patients?

Learning objectives:

  1. To better understand the processes required of the schemes to treat patients with a compensable injury so that treatment delays are minimised.
  2. To understand the sources of distress for claimants and how we as osteopaths can help to minimise these for better clinical outcomes.
