An Osteopathy Australia titled ‘Paediatric Osteopath’ is an osteopath who can demonstrate long-term commitment to sustained practice in paediatrics through continued educational obtainment and in clinical practice.
They will have proven knowledge and skills in all areas of paediatrics including but not limited to:
- Knowledge in the assessment and management of complex neuromusculoskeletal paediatric presentations,
- Knowledge in neuromusculoskeletal conditions and stage appropriate lifestyle advice, rehabilitation, and exercise protocols
- Demonstrate sound clinical reasoning in the formulation of paediatric management plans, setting realistic, appropriate goals and expectations.
Titled Osteopaths have completed extensive further study and proven work experience in their field and have been independently assessed to meet the required standard.

Recredentialing Process
To ensure that our Advanced Practitioners continue to maintain, consolidate, and grow their knowledge and skills in their recognised focus area the recognition period will be valid for three years with the titled practitioner needing to undergo reassessment to remain titled. This process should be completed before the three year expiry to ensure titling does not lapse.
