Unwind Osteopathy is seeking an experienced Osteopath to join our team in Launceston, Tasmania, for a 2-4 month locum position. This role is to cover a part-time practitioner who will be on maternity leave, with a start date in mid-to-late December 2025 or early January 2026. There is also the potential for this to become a permanent position.

Our clinic is a multi-practitioner setting, where you would work alongside two other independent Osteopaths.

Launceston, located in Northern Tasmania's beautiful Tamar Valley, is known as Australia's most livable regional city and a UNESCO gastronomy city, offering a vibrant arts, food, and cultural scene. We are confident you will enjoy your time here and have ample opportunities to explore the area, including the world heritage wilderness at our doorstep.

We currently have a vacancy for a newly graduated or experienced Osteopath to join our team on a contract basis in our Gaythorne practice. You will play a key role in providing high-quality, holistic care to our patients, helping them to manage and reduce their pain through evidence-based treatment and rehabilitation.

-Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify the root causes of pain and devise personalised treatment plans
-Perform a range of osteopathic techniques, including spinal manipulation, soft tissue therapy, and exercise prescription, to alleviate pain and restore function
-Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care
-Maintain detailed patient records and provide progress updates to referring practitioners


About You

Along with your strong work ethic and some previous experience you'll have/be:

-A newly graduated student or experienced applicant with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent
-Current AHPRA registration as an Osteopath
-Full Australian working rights - essential
-Strong understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy, biomechanics, and the pathophysiology of pain
-Excellent manual therapy skills and the ability to tailor treatment approaches to individual patient needs
-Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and educate patients
-Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
-A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
