The Research Pathways Mentorship Program seeks to promote, encourage, and support research culture and leadership in osteopathy. The Program pairs osteopaths interested in research (mentees) with established researchers (mentors) to facilitate the mentee's career development and research capabilities via access to one-on-one support. The Program is beneficial to osteopathic clinicians who are new to or interested in including research in their career journey; and university students studying osteopathy who are interested in research. It will provide an opportunity to seek guidance on potential research pathways, the transition from clinician to clinician-researcher or from novice/non-researcher to more experienced researcher, and guidance on participating in research and developing research ideas and questions.
Duration
Each Program runs for 12 months (e.g., between March 2024 and March 2025). Exact start and end dates can be negotiated between participants and the program manager.

To view the eligibility criteria and apply, please read the information sheet and complete an expression of interest form. The EOI will ask about your specific interests, previous experience, and what you hope to gain from or contribute to the mentoring relationship.

Testimonials
This program was exactly what I needed to help answer my questions and develop my ideas about research. Paul H. Mentee 2023
If you are interested in doing research but you aren't sure how or where to start, this program is for you. Having someone who understands academia support you through the process of learning to be a research clinician is invaluable. Sarah D. Mentee 2023
The program was a positive experience. As an osteopathy academic and researcher, I feel it is so important that we nurture our budding clinician-researchers as it will enhance our research capabilities as a profession. It is a welcoming environment, and a nice entry to research if you're unsure if it is for you. Danielle B. Mentor 2023
The program was a great experience. My mentor created a supportive environment where I felt comfortable asking questions and sharing ideas. I learned a lot about research methods and applications, and also formed valuable working relationships. I highly recommend this program to anyone looking to enhance their research skills in a welcoming and impactful setting. Kevin J. Mentee 2023
